Gull Point Campground is on the northwestern shore of Wickiup Reservoir in the Deschutes National Forest.
Wickiup Reservoir is a popular spot for bird watching with many nesting and/or migrating birds. Fishing in the shallow, warm waters of the reservoir is excellent for trophy brown trout, kokanee and Coho salmon, and rainbow and brook trout. Boats are allowed on the lake.
Gull Point Campground features 74 single campsites and 5 double (or multi) sites for RVs, trailers, and tents. The campground is spread through an open forest of lodgepole and Ponderosa pines. A number of sites have good seclusion. Some campsites are on the reservoir shore. Most of the campsites may be reserved. The campground also has 2 Group Campsites.
Gull Point Campground is on County Road 4260, 3 miles south of County Road 42. Most visitors approach on Highway 97, turning west at Wickiup Junction and traveling 11 miles on County Road 43 and then 4.6 miles west on Forest Road 42.

Most campsites may be reserved from 4 days to 6 months in advance of arrival date. A few campsites are available first-come, first-served.

Two group campsites are available at Gull Point Campground. Each site can accommodate up to 30 people and 8 vehicles. Reservations for group sites can be made up to 12 months in advance of arrival date.

General Camping Information
Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. Check carefully on the website when you make your reservation to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite.
In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, firewood from outside the area is not permitted.

Wickiup Reservoir Area Attractions and Activities
Enjoy scenic strolls along the shore of Wickiup Reservoir, stopping at occasional sandy beach areas. Late in the year water levels drop and the lake is less attractive.
Fish for brown trout, kokanee and Coho salmon, and rainbow and brook trout. the best fishing is from a boat.
Rent boats from nearby Twin Lakes Resort. Besides row boats, they rent paddle boards, kayaks, and pedal boats.
Watch for a variety of birds from the dam. Look for Common Loons, ducks, Great Egrets, Baird's Sandpipers, Brown Pelicans, White-faced Ibis<, and many others.
Hike on the easy, 1.6-mile South Twin Lake Trail. Also make the short hike to North Twin Lake.
