Salmonberry Campground

Salmonberry Campground is along the Alsea River in the Oregon Coast Range 33 miles east of Waldport. Visitors enjoy a large grassy play area, a boat ramp, nature trail, and picnic area. Watch along the river for a variety of birds from wood ducks to kingfishers. From time-to-time otters and beavers can be spotted in the Alsea River. The campground is known for its friendly, family atmosphere.

Salmonberry Campground has 27 campsites, most of which can be reserved ahead of arrival. The sites can accommodate tents or RVs or trailers up to 55 feet. RV sites have electrical hook-ups. Fourteen of the sites are designated for tents and have no hook-ups (maximum of 2 tents). RV sites allow one pick-up camper, camp trailer or van plus one tent. Salmonberry Campground also has a yurt and a cabin available. Both have electricity and heat, but no running water.

Key Salmonberry Campground Regulations

  2. Campfires may only be lit in provided fire rings.
  3. RV and trailer water tanks should be filled at home. They may not be filled at the campground.
  4. Help prevent the spread of invasive species by obtaining firewood locally.
  5. Quiet Hours extend from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM - "strictly enforced".
  6. Dogs must be kept on leash and attended at all times. Dogs are not allowed in the cabin or yurt.
