Blackberry Campground
Blackberry Campground sits on a bluff above the Alsea River, 18 miles east of the Oregon coast at Waldport.
Many who visit the campground in the winter take advantage of the boat ramp located at the campground to launch drift boats. Fishing is good from boat or shore for Coho and Chinook salmon along with steelhead trout. When water levels are safe in the summer, swimming is popular in the river. During hunting season the campground serves as a base for elk hunters. Berry picking is good in the fall.
Blackberry Campground has 32 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Some sites overlook the river while others are beside a broad, grassy field. The campground is set among mature Douglas fir and cedars. One pull-through site is designated for large RVs.
