Alsea Falls Campground
Alsea Falls Campground is along the South Fork Alsea River in the Oregon Coast Range 13 miles west of Monroe. Painters and photographers enjoy creating images of 30-foot Alsea Falls and the surrounding forest and river. Nearby trails meander through the forest of Douglas fir, leading to picnic sites. In the winter salmon and steelhead fishing draws angers to the area. (Check with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife for current fishing regulations). The nearby Fall Creek Day-Use Trailhead offers over 12 miles of mountain bike specific trails. Hikers are welcome on these trails as well.
Alsea Falls Campground has 16 campsites, all of which can be reserved ahead of arrival. The sites can accommodate tents or RVs or trailers up to 32 feet. Five walk-to tent sites are near the day-use area. Two group camps are also available. The campground has drinking water (seasonal) and vault toilets.
