Union Creek Campground

Union Creek Campground is in an old-growth forest near the Rogue River in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The campground is operated by concessionaire Rogue Recreation. Campers enjoy pleasant sites on either side of Union Creek. Fishing, mountain biking, and hiking are popular. Within a short drive are the Rogue River Gorge, Natural Bridge, and scenic trails along the river.

Union Creek Campground has 74 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Three sites outside the main campground on an ATV dirt road have full RV hookups. Many sites are along the Union Creek and a few front the Rogue River. Reach the campground off Highway 62, 56 miles northeast of Medford.

Some campsites available first-come, first served, including the 3 hook-up sites.
Booking Window: Reservations can be made from 2 days up to 6 months in advance of arrival.

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. Check carefully on the website when you make your reservation to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, firewood from outside the area is not permitted.

  • Don't miss the nearby and easy hike out to Natural Bridge on the Rogue River. A paved trail with viewpoints, interpretive signs, and a footbridge make for an enjoyable excursion.
  • Make the drive to spectacular Crater Lake.
  • Try mountain biking around Fish Lake or along Lower South Fork Trail.
  • Test your luck fishing at Fish Lake or on Abbott Creek.
  • Set out hiking up the Alkali Creek Falls Trail #1055.
  • Enjoy the 1.4-mile Devils Peak Trail in the Sky Lakes Wilderness.
  • Have some OHV fun at Woodruff on the Minnehaha Trail #1039

  1. Quiet Hours are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  2. Dogs must be kept on leash and attended at all times. At night they must be kept in a vehicle or tent.
  3. Help avoid the spread of invasive insects by obtaining firewood locally.
