Hamaker Campground - CLOSED
Hamaker Campground is a remote site along the Upper Rogue River, northwest of Crater Lake. The site closed in 2012, but some remnants of the old campground are still visible. Dispersed camping is allowed. There are not fees. Visitors enjoy the area's alpine meadow setting, especially in the spring and early summer when wildflowers are in bloom. Hiking, fishing, and mountain biking are popular. The campground is about 16 miles from the north entrance to Crater Lake.
Hamaker Campground had 10 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. All the campsites were first-come, first-served.
Reach the campground by taking Highway 62 for 58 miles northeast from Medford.
