Umpqua Lighthouse State Park is located between the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area and freshwater Lake Marie, 28 miles north of Coos Bay. The dunes are open to OHV riding 24 hours a day. Less than a mile from the park is Salmon Harbor on Winchester Bay. At the entrance to the bay stands the 65-foot Umpqua River Lighthouse.

Umpqua Lighthouse State Park Campground has 39 campsites. Of these, 23 are designated as tent sites, 8 have full hook-ups, and another 8 have electric and water hook-ups. The campground also has 2 rustic Yurts and 6 deluxe Yurts along with 2 rustic cabins and a hiker/bicyclist campsite.

The 2 rustic yurts have lighting, heating, and beds with mattresses. A bunkbed sleeps 3 while a futon can accommodate 2. Overall, the rustic yurt has an occupancy of 8. A tent can be erected outside the yurt. Visitors must bring their own bedding.

Deluxe Yurts have kitchens with a microwave, a refrigerator, sink and a full bathroom with a shower. A TV/DVD player is provided, but there is no cable TV. Deluxe Yurts can sleep up to 7.

Key Umpqua Lighthouse State Park Campground Regulations

  1. Pets must be kept on leash and attended at all times. At night they must be kept in a vehicle or tent.
  2. Obtain firewood locally to prevent the spread of invasive pests.
