Barton Park Campground

Barton Park is on the Clackamas River southeast of Portland. Operated by Clackamas County Parks, Barton Park features boating and fishing in the river with a boat ramp in the park. An air pump for rafts is available near the ramp. Other activities include hiking, field sports, and a play area.

Barton Park Campground offers 112 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Water and electric hook-ups are found at 103 of the sites. The 9 primitive sites are for tents only. Barton Park West contains campsites 1-59 and sites B-F, while Barton East includes campsites 60-107. Mature trees provide good shade for most campsites. Reservations must be made for a minimum of 3 nights. The campground also has a group campsite.

Reservations Available Reservations are available from 3 days up to a year in advance of arrival date for campsite use from May 1 through September 30. From October through early November Barton Park West in closed, and in Barton Park East campsites are first-come, first-served.

Barton Park Group Camp

Barton Park Campground includes a group, tents-only camp for up to 25 people and 6 vehicles. Additional vehicles pay a fee each day. A maximum of 2 pets is allowed. The campsite is a large grass and wooded area. A large firepit and 3 picnic tables are provided. Water is available nearby. Campers use the restrooms and showers in nearby Barton East Campground.

Key Barton Park Campground Regulations

  1. Two tents or one RV and one tent are permitted in the partial hook-up sites; however, only RVs are permitted in sites 60-98.
  2. Entrance Gates are locked from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  3. Quiet Hours extend from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
  4. Firewood is available for sale in the campground.
  5. Fires are only permitted in designated fire receptacles, and receptacles are not to be moved. Fires must be extinguished upon departure.
  6. Pets must be kept on leash and attended at all times.
