Horse Creek Group Campground
Horse Creek Group Campground is along Horse Creek in the Willamette National Forest, 1½ miles south of the town of McKenzie Bridge.
Visitors to the campground find good catch-and-release fishing on Horse Creek and along the nearby McKenzie River (check local fishing regulations). Kayaking and canoeing are popular along sections of the McKenzie. Blue River Reservoir is a short drive away and offers enjoyable boating and fishing. The wonderful McKenzie River National Recreation Trail has its southern terminus in the nearby town of McKenzie Bridge.
Horse Creek Group Campground has a single group site for up to 100 people and 23 vehicles. (Call to confirm numbers of people.) The group site accommodates RVs, trailers, and tents. Despite being along Horse Creek, horses are not permitted in the campground. Towering Douglas fir and Western Red Cedar provide nice shade throughout the area. A picnic area offers a great spot for grilling and for group gatherings.
