Coolwater Campground is along the Little River in the Umpqua National Forest, 32 miles east of Roseburg. Visitors to the area enjoy hiking, fishing, and swimming. Anglers should check Oregon Sport Fishing Regulations regarding fishing regulations for the area. Adventurous hikers can find a number of rewarding trails to waterfalls and old-growth forests. Among the most interesting is nearby Grotto Falls where a short trail leads completely behind the 80-foot falls.

Coolwater Campground has 7 first-come, first-served campsites which can accommodate small RVs, trailers, and tents. There is no campground host.
