Metzler Park Campground
Metzler Park is located along scenic Clear Creek southeast of Portland and 5 miles south of Estacada. The park is operated by Clackamas County Parks. Visitors to the park enjoy fishing in Clear Creek, hiking on 2.5 miles of trails, and watching for wildlife such as mountain beavers and chipmunks. A foot path leads over a suspension bridge across the creek. Swimming in the creek is fun when water levels are safe. Sports fields and horseshoes are found in the park.
Metzler Park Campground features 75 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Water and electric hook-ups are found at 60 of sites. The other sites (#28-37 and #71-75) are tents-only sites with no hook-ups. Mature western red cedars and Douglas fir grow on the hillsides around the campground. Clear Creek winds along the side of the park. Reservations must be made for a minimum of 3 nights.
