Jackson Campground

Jackson Campground is along the Applegate River in the Rogue River - Siskiyou National Forest, about 14 miles southwest of Jacksonville. Visitors to the campground enjoy fishing, cycling, and hiking. About 15 miles away is popular Applegate Lake with boating, swimming, and fishing. The speed limit on the lake is 10 MPH. A general store is located nearby in the Hart-tish Day Use area there. Across the river from Jackson Campground is the GinLin Mining Trailhead.

Jackson Campground has 12 campsites along the river. Eight of the sites are designated for tents, and 3 sites are designated for RV or trailer camping. There is also 1 group campsite. Abundant shade is provided by mature trees. Campsites may be reserved. On weekends and over holiday periods there is a 2-night minimum. Campers are asked to arrive before 8:00 PM.

  1. Quiet Hours: are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Generators may not be operated after 8:00 PM.
  2. Dogs must be kept on leash and attended at all times. At night they must be kept in a vehicle or tent.
