Jasper Point Campground
Jasper Point Campground is in Jasper Point State Park, adjacent to Prineville Reservoir State Park, 54 road miles east of Bend. Situated in the high desert, the park features a 15-mile-long lake with 43 miles of shoreline. Boat ramps, a designated swim area, and an accessible fishing pier are available. Fishing is excellent for rainbow trout, bass, catfish, crappie, and crayfish. The boat launch ramp is located near the campground. Check the water level in the reservoir to see if it is high enough to use the ramp: Prineville Reservoir Water Level.
Jasper Point Campground is beside the Crooked River arm of the reservoir, 3 miles from the main campground. The small, quiet campground has 28 campsites, all with electric and water hook-ups. Space is available for RVs, trailers, and tents. All the sites are first-come, first-served. Even so, details about every campsite are available online at the reservation website. There is one cabin for up to 3 people which can be reserved.
