Humbug Mountain State Park Campground
Humbug Mountain State Park sits along Oregon's southern coast, 28 miles north of Gold Beach. The park is dominated by 1,756-foot Humbug Mountain. Brush Creek runs by the campground. The area is known for its mild climate compared to other regions along the Oregon coast. Visitors to the park enjoy scuba diving and windsurfing, as well as hiking the trail to the summit of Humbug Mountain.
Humbug Mountain State Park Campground has 96 campsites, including about 35 with electric (50 amp) and water hook-ups and another 56 for tents or self-contained RVs. Humbug Mountain Campground is divided into two sections, one farther upstream and away from highway noise than the other. Campsites are spacious and have plenty of shade provided by a mature forest. The campground includes a site for hikers and cyclists along with a separate Group Tent Campsite.
Note: This is not Humbug Campground in the Willamette National Forest.
Arizona Beach Group Camp
Arizona Beach Group Camp is 6 miles south of Humbug Mountain Campground. The camp, a large open field, is designated for tents only. The site can accommodate up to 25 people. The site will accept up to 10 RVs under 30 feet or 20 vehicles. No hook-ups are available. The camp includes a large group fire pit. A five-gallon bucket of water is required to be kept by the fire pit when in use. Vault toilets and a water spigot are 250 yards from the campsite. Access to the Group Camp Area requires going under a 13' 6" freeway overpass which may not accommodate all recreation vehicles that have roof top air conditioning units, vents or other equipment on the roof top.
