Three Creek Meadow Campground & Horsecamp
Three Creek Meadow Campground and adjoining Three Creek Meadow Horsecamp are in the Deschutes National Forest near Three Creeks Lake (shown above), west of Bend. The area is popular for horseback riding, hiking, swimming, non-motorized boating, and fishing.
Three Creek Meadow Campground has 11 campsites designated for no horses (sites 1-11). These large and wide-open sites are especially popular with groups of RV owners who like to gather in scenic places. Tents are also welcome. Another 9 campsites are designated for those with horses (sites 11-20). The sites are somewhat cramped, but each has room for 2 vehicles. Each campsite has a 4-horse log corral. Manure bins are provided. Water for horses is available, however, there is no potable water for any of the campsites in Three Creek Meadow Campground.
The campground is beside a meadow. The Forest Service notes, "This is a very sensitive area and users of the camp are urged to help protect this special area." No camping is permitted in the meadow.
